About this library
This library brings together the books, diaries and talks of A. Nagraj, who set out Madhyasth Darshan. The texts are in Hindi, as he wrote or spoke them. The pages around them are in English.
Books: the published books, with several editions of each. You can read editions side by side, passage by passage, and open the scan of the printed page.
Diaries: his handwritten diaries, page by page, with the scan next to the text.
Talks: transcripts of recorded talks and study camps, with a link to the recording where there is one.
Samvad: posts from the blog madhyasth-darshan.blogspot.com, edited by Rakesh Gupta from his conversations with A. Nagraj, mostly at Amarkantak from 2006 to 2011. Each post links to the original, and to the talk it comes from when one was found.
Articles come next, after the diaries.
How the texts were transcribed
Book editions were scanned and read by text recognition software, then matched across editions so the same passage lines up in each one.
Diary pages were scanned and transcribed by an AI model that reads handwriting. Reviewers then compare the text with the scan and correct it. Each page shows whether a reviewer has approved it. Pages not transcribed yet are not shown.
Talks were transcribed from the recordings, some from YouTube captions and some by an AI model that listens to the audio. Most talks have a time mark every two minutes.
Samvad posts are shown as they appear on the blog, which stays the master copy, so they are not corrected here.
Words that could not be read are marked as unclear. When the exact wording matters, check the scan or the recording.
Report an error
If you find a mistake in a text, please tell us. Select the words on any page and tap Report, or use Report an error in the page's menu. Your note goes to an editor with the passage and its source, so we can check it against the scan or the recording.
